About The Role

As Senior Pre‑Construction Manager, you'll be the linchpin between design, commercial, and delivery teams owning the pre‑construction process from initial enquiry through to contract award. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to shape compelling proposals, de‑risk delivery, and ensure seamless project mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the pre‑construction phase for Cat A & Cat B office fit‑outs, typically £500k‑£10m+
  • Develop and manage pre‑construction programmes, design coordination, and procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with estimating, design, and delivery teams to shape winning bids and cost plans
  • Attend client pitches and presentations, to be confident, credible, and commercially aware
  • Identify risks and opportunities early, offering value‑engineered solutions where appropriate
  • Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams with clear scope, programme, and commercial alignment
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in pre‑construction within the office fit‑out sector (D&B or main contractor)
  • Strong technical understanding of Cat A/B fit‑outs, workplace design, and MEP coordination
  • Confident communicator, pitch‑ready and client‑facing
  • Organised, commercially aware, and solutions‑focused
  • Able to manage multiple bids and pre‑programme concurrently
  • Collaborative mindset with a sharp eye for detail and delivery risk
Candidate Profile
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Pre‑Construction/Pre‑Contracts Manager
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
  • Background in estimating, design management, or project management is advantageous
