Howard Finley is recruiting for a Senior Practitioner (Senior Social Worker) to join a specialist Court Team in London. The role is permanent and full-time with hybrid working. Salary ranges to £55,749 per year plus benefits.

The post involves managing complex court-based cases in children's safeguarding, delivering high-quality court reports and evidence, and collaborating with legal professionals and partner agencies to secure safe, permanent outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Significant statutory children's social care experience.
• Recent experience of care proceedings and court work.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and child protection.
• Experience producing high-quality court reports and assessments.
• Excellent communication, organisation and professional judgement.

Working Pattern: Hybrid

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £46,952 - £55,749 per annum + additional payments and benefits

A Local Authority is looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner / Senior Social Worker to join its specialist Court Team within Children's Safeguarding.

This is a specialist statutory role for an experienced social worker with a strong background in children's social care, safeguarding and care proceedings. You will manage a focused caseload of complex cases where court intervention is required to secure safe and permanent outcomes for children.
