Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board invites applications for a Principal Practitioner Psychologist at 78 Crawley Road in a Level 2 Rehabilitation Service. You will deliver highly specialist assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions for adults with complex mental health needs, providing consultation to the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychotherapeutic/psychological practice.
• Evidence of CPD in Trauma and Dissociation
• Experience in working with Dissociative Disorder
• Postgraduate qualification (master's level or equivalent) leading to professional accreditation with an appropriate body.
• Professionally registered/accredited as a psychotherapist/psychological therapist with the relevant registration/accrediting body.
• Post-qualification training in supervision
• Evidence of continuing professional development as required by the registration/accrediting body.
• Staff wellbeing is central in the trust and team; emphasis on psychologically safe environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional leadership for psychological services within the Level 2 Rehabilitation Service.
• Deliver highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions for adults with complex needs.
• Provide consultation and psychological expertise to the multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical supervision, workforce development, teaching and training within psychology.
• Lead on service development, clinical governance, audit, research and quality improvement.
• Support recruitment and staff development; ensure services are evidence-based and aligned with standards.
