Job summary

London Borough of Bromley is seeking a Senior Practitioner for the Encompass Therapeutic Hub on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role is hybrid, based at Bromley Civic Centre, with a 36-hour week and a salary up to £55,749 plus retention and Golden Hello payments.

Responsibilities include assessments, supervision of foster carers, panel attendance, and project work to achieve outstanding status within the service. For informal discussions contact Tracey Webb.

Senior Practitioner – Encompass Therapeutic Hub (Fixed term contract - 12 months)

Salary: up to £55,749 per annum (dependent on experience)

In addition, you will receive up to £2000 annual retention payment, £2000 Golden Hello (for new employees)

Location: Hybrid Working/Bromley Civic Centre (Churchill Court)

Hours: 36 hours

Contract: 1 year contract (fixed-term for external applicants, or secondment for internal applicants)

We currently have an opportunity available in the Encompass Fostering Therapeutic Service for a full time Senior Practitioner to undertake Assessments, Support and Supervision of Foster Carers in the Encompass Hubs.

The Encompass Fostering Therapeutic Service is made up of highly experienced foster carers and supervising social workers. This newly launched project seeks to provide extensive support to therapeutically trained carers to allow them to care for children with higher needs in a family based, nurturing, setting.

The role will include:

• Undertaking Encompass Family Assessments
• Undertaking home visits to Encompass families and carrying out their supervision and supporting them with the children and young people they care for.
• Attending PEP’s and CLA reviews and any other meetings relevant to the child and young person.
• Keeping the Encompass family’s compliance checks up to date.
• Attending relevant panels and meetings for matching purposes and reviews.Working on projects within the Hub to achieve outstanding status.
• Working together with all of children’s services for the best interest of the children and young people we care for.
