Job summary

Renfrewshire Council's Children’s Services Social Work team seeks a High-calibre Senior Practitioner to lead practice across Children and Families, Initial Response, Fostering and Adoption, Kinship and Throughcare. The role focuses on leadership, safeguarding, and improving outcomes for children and families.

You will join a service redesigned to be responsive and time-effective, with supervision and development for staff and collaboration with partners to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification essential.
• Significant experience in assessment/care planning, care management and carrying out complex case work.
• Working knowledge of legislation and best practice.
• Ability to analyse complex information as part of assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team under the guidance of the Team Manager.
• Manage a complex caseload and deliver key operational priorities.
• Provide supervision and guidance to social workers and paraprofessionals.
• Engage meaningfully with multi-agency partners to improve services.
• Commit to continuous professional development and high standards of practice.
