Job summary

Walsall Council's East Locality is seeking a Senior Practitioner in Family Safeguarding to maintain our Outstanding Ofsted status. You will work with a team to support the Team Manager, ensuring vulnerable children and families receive responsive services that safeguard and promote welfare.

The role involves highly complex decision making within a restorative approach, contributing to developments for children and families in Walsall and offering a supportive workload with strong management

Qualifications

• Experience safeguarding children and families.
• Ability to work within a restorative approach.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a social work team and support the Team Manager.
• Make highly complex decisions relating to social service provision for children, young people and families.
• Ensure vulnerable children and families receive responsive services that safeguard and promote welfare.
• Contribute to developments for children and families in Walsall within a restorative framework.
