A community health service provider in Leeds seeks a full-time Band 7 Practitioner to join their Eating Disorder Service. The role involves leading clinical assessments, developing patient-centered care plans, and innovating clinical practices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and appropriate professional registration, contributing to the service's ongoing development and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Opportunities for personal and professional development are included.
The Eating Disorder Service is currently undergoing a period of significant growth and development, creating an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team. Based at the Reginald Centre, our multi-disciplinary team works in close partnership with acute hospitals and third‑sector organisations to deliver high‑quality care across the Leeds district.
We are seeking to recruit to the following post:
Up to 1 Full‑time Band 7 Practitioner (Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Children’s Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist). Part‑time applicants will be considered.
Provide and lead highly specialist assessment and clinical care within the Eating Disorder Service. Hold responsibility for own caseload while contributing to service‑wide delivery. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient‑centred programmes of care, ensuring practice remains within professional competence, regulatory standards, and evidence‑based frameworks.
Contribute to service innovation by developing new approaches to clinical practice, integrating emerging knowledge and techniques, and collaborating with other services to drive improvements.
May involve working across multiple service pathways, including both in‑reach and outreach provision. While primarily based at the Reginald Centre, regular travel across the Leeds area will be essential to support service functioning. Clinical interventions may take place in family homes as well as acute settings across both LTHT and LYPFT sites.
Strong leadership skills are essential. Provide support and supervision to junior and senior colleagues, actively contribute to ongoing development of the service, and engage in regular training and development opportunities. HCPC / NMC / BACP or SWE registration is required.
Please contact Katie Rudge Clinical Team Manager or Fiona Trew Principal Psychologist by Teams or email at Katie.rudge@nhs.net or Fiona.trew2@nhs.net for further information. Please review the attached documents for full requirements of the role.
Adverts will close early where maximum number of applicants is reached.
