Senior Practice Accountant

Circa £40,000 per annum DOE

Leicestershire (hybrid options available)

Our client is a fast-growing firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and is seeking an experienced Senior Practice Accountant to become a key part of their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment and wants to grow with a firm that values professional development.

The Role
  • Manage a portfolio of clients accounts across multiple industries.
  • Producing and filing management accounts, corporate and personal tax returns
  • Managing VAT returns and self-assessments
  • Review the work of junior accountants and support their development
  • Building strong client relationships and resolving queries efficiently
  • Adopting and implementing new cloud-based accounting software and digital tools to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax deadlines
  • Production of year-end accounts and management reports
About You
  • AAT qualification with at least 3 years practice experience, or ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Proficient in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience within payroll is desirable, but not essential
  • Confident in preparing and reviewing accounts and tax computations
  • A natural leader as well as a team player.
