Job summary

develop is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to own the enterprise Power BI reporting landscape, designing semantic models, reports and dashboards.

You will build scalable data models, develop advanced DAX and M queries, optimize performance, and govern BI standards across Finance, HR and R&D. This is a remote-first role with occasional on-site support in London.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Analytics/BI with proven Power BI delivery in production.
• Advanced Power BI (data modelling, DAX) and advanced SQL.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses, medallion architecture, Kimball methodology.

Responsibilities

Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE

Our client, a fast-growing tech scale-up in the life sciences and clinical research space, is hiring a Senior PowerBI Developer to own their enterprise Power BI reporting landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions: semantic models, reports, dashboards
• Build scalable data models (star schema, Kimball methodology) and advanced DAX measures
• Use Power Query (M) for data transformation
• Optimise report/dataset performance and manage deployment across environments
• Implement governance standards (naming conventions, documentation, RLS)
• Validate data via SQL and translate business requirements into BI solutions across Finance, HR, R&D and other teams

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years in Data Analytics / BI, with proven Power BI delivery in production
• Advanced Power BI (data modelling, DAX) and advanced SQL
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses, medallion architecture, Kimball methodology
• Strong grasp of BI performance optimisation
• Microsoft Fabric familiarity (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
