Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in the UK is seeking a Senior Consultant in Electrical Engineering to lead complex power system studies and client engagements across the UK.

You will perform and manage power system analyses, guide the team, ensure delivery quality, and develop client relationships with energy sector stakeholders.

The role requires an electrical engineering degree with extensive experience and hands-on use of tools such as PowerFactory, PSS/E, IPSA, and ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related field and 7 years of experience.
• Extensive experience in power system consultancy for T&D operators, developers, EPCs and ICPs.
• Experience with power system analysis and detailed studies using specified software.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage power system studies for a range of clients.
• Facilitate effective management and growth of the team and workload.
• Manage resources and coordination of the team for efficient project delivery.
• Identify skills gaps, training needs, and recruitment needs to meet targets.
• Support proposal activity and respond to enquiries and opportunities.
• Deliver projects efficiently as consultant or project manager as required.
• Ensure quality assurance of all deliverables and reports.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and partnerships with other consultancies.
