Job summary

The Bank of England is seeking a Senior Power Platform Engineer to join the Power Platform team in Digital Enterprise Services. You will deliver and enhance Power Platform products, build complex Power Automate flows, model-driven apps and Power Pages, and mentor junior developers.

The role is hybrid with office time required from October 2026. You will provide design guidance, handle complex incidents, maintain backlogs and contribute to security design while modernising services and automating

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years working with Microsoft D365 and Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
• End-to-end solution delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
• Agile and DevOps with continuous delivery, automated regression testing, TDD and monitoring.
• Programming custom .NET workflows and plug-ins.
• Good knowledge of agile delivery methodologies and toolsets such as Jira.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new Power Platform products.
• Enhance existing Power Platform products.
• Build complex Power Automate flows, model-driven apps and Power Pages webpages.
• Mentor junior developers by reviewing their work and guiding component reuse and scalable design.
• Provide technical expertise and advise on best-practice design for the platforms.
• Advise on complex operational incidents and problems.
• Write best-practice guidance for solution and environment management.
• Present functionality to project partners in demos.
• Research and develop solutions that expand, modernise or improve services, automate operations or reduce cost.
• Maintain the project backlog and contribute to Power Apps security design.
• Join daily stand-ups with business analysts, testers and developers.
