Senior Broker - Onshore Natural Resources

As part of the Natural Resources business unit, you'll support some of our largest onshore power, renewables and energy clients from around the world.

Global Broking Centre in London:

The role sits within the Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London. The GBC is an integral part of Aon's global broking strategy. The GBC provides colleagues across the Aon network access to specialist brokers and client managers, dedicated client solutions and thought leadership, and significant global insurance capacity. The GBC works with network colleagues to deliver market-leading solutions to Aon clients, creating a competitive advantage in our placement strategies worldwide

What the day will look like
  • Client management and broking, serving a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business, from presenting a winning go-to-market strategy to clients and prospects to handing over placement slips to our support team.
  • Leading impactful renewal strategy meetings (RSMs) and delivering London market insurer roadshows that showcase exceptional care to deliver market outperformance for our clients.
  • Leading reviews of clients risks, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance documentation produced by our support team.
  • Proactively contributing to the portfolio's growth, developing new relationships, pitching to clients, and leading winning tenders.
  • Managing market relationships, developing new ones in support of the Natural Resources broking strategy.
  • Working closely with Natural Resources clients to ensure our global best practice is achieved
  • Opportunity for travel, including prospecting and representing Aon by speaking at conferences.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • London market experience broking power, renewables, energy or property. Specific experience working within the conventional power sector will be considered advantageous.
  • Strong client focussed mindset and ready to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in layering complex programmes.
  • Strong lead/decision-maker underwriter relationships in power.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills to successfully lead the pursuit of target prospects.
  • Existing strong leadership skillset and/or an aspiration to manage will be considered advantageous
  • Masterful relationship-building skills.
  • Unparalleled presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex messages in written form.
  • Being proactive, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking.
  • Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
