Job summary

University of Manchester, based at the Royce Hub Building, seeks a Senior Technician to operate and maintain instrumentation for DSC, Rheology, mechanical testing and DMA, plus support spectroscopy (FTIR, fluorimetry, ellipsometry) for the Polymer Characterisation, Processing and Synthesis Core Facility.

You will enable external projects with industrial and academic partners, contribute to cross-disciplinary workflows, and work within a dynamic team dedicated to advancing materials science.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain DSC, rheology, mechanical testing and DMA instrumentation.
• Support spectroscopy capabilities including FTIR, fluorimetry and ellipsometry.
