The Greater London Authority is seeking a Senior Policy and Programme Officer to help deliver policies and projects advancing London’s air quality goals. Good Growth is responsible for delivering and implementing the Mayor’s environment, transport and economic strategies and for the effective implementation of the London Plan. The Directorate is also responsible for regeneration (where the programme is not housing led), enterprise, growth, capital projects and design work.
As a Senior Policy and Programme Officer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering policies and projects that support the Mayor’s ambition to clean London’s air. Working closely with colleagues across the GLA Group, London boroughs, government bodies and a wide range of stakeholders, you will help drive London’s progress towards meeting World Health Organization (WHO) air quality guidelines and improving health outcomes for all Londoners.
You will lead the delivery of complex programmes, managing performance, budgets and key stakeholder relationships. The role requires strong policy development, programme management and analytical skills, with the ability to turn technical evidence into practical solutions that achieve meaningful improvements in air quality.
