GCHQ in Central London / Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to lead a small but influential policy team and shape the organisation’s response to policy developments that could affect operations. You will coordinate across government, engage senior stakeholders and provide clear, evidence-based advice on risks, opportunities and trade-offs.

You’ll also manage a team of policy advisors, set directions, and develop capabilities within the Strategic Policy and Strategy group, with travel

Competenze

• Current Civil Servant with recent UK government department experience and Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• Experience developing, shaping or influencing policy and legislation through government processes.
• Experience leading or contributing to development, passage or implementation of UK government legislation.
• Experience working with UK national security community to develop deliver policy, legislation or cross-government outcomes.
• Ability balance political, operational and strategic considerations with sound judgement.
