Job summary

The Senior Podiatrist post at HMP Erlestoke, operated by Partnering Health Ltd, is a part-time role (~6.5 hours/week). You will assess and treat prisoners, manage a personal caseload, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver nail surgery, MSK, wound care, and diabetes care.

Registration with HCPC and SOCAP is required, with at least three years post-graduate experience and proven ability to work lone. Supervisory duties and CPD participation are expected.

Qualifications

• Registered podiatrist with HCPC and SOCAP credentials.
• At least three years' post-graduate experience, including lone working.
• Experience delivering podiatry in an NHS setting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with professional accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage own clinical caseload in partnership with the prison site.
• Assess patients, formulate individualised management and treatment plans.
• Deliver podiatry treatments including nail surgery, MSK, biomechanics, wounds and diabetes care.
• Maintain records, report outcomes, and participate in audits and CPD.
• Provide teaching and training to the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure informed consent and adherence to legal and health policies.
• supervise junior staff and ensure equipment safety and regulation compliance.
• Contribute to data collection and CPD activities.
