Job description

Sitting within the PMO function of our Capital Delivery department, we are looking for a Senior Planner to organise, develop, manage, and report on project plans and schedules on behalf of the programme delivery teams. You can be based out of our Coventry, Raynesway, or Shelton office.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and report on project plans and schedules, supporting on complex capital projects >£5m per project
  • Adhere to and implement PMO planning policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and development to junior planners
  • Support resource management and report actual performance and variance against plans.
  • Monitor and audit supplier schedules to ensure compliance with Severn Trent's procedures.
  • Develop recovery schedules and contingency plans.
  • Carry out detailed analysis of the project critical path and identify activities that could hinder timely delivery.
  • You will need to be able to travel to various locations across the STW patch.
Qualifications
  • Ideally qualified to degree level with a formal project management qualification.
  • Significant experience in scheduling project and programme plans, particularly with NEC contracts and experience of working on complex projects >£5m per project.
  • Excellent knowledge in managing compensation events, Extension of time EOT and delay analysis, Earned value management.
  • Expert working knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6, OPC (Oracle primavera cloud), and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of project and contract management with excellent financial and commercial awareness.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Forward-thinking and innovative mindset, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change.
