Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search seeks a Project Manager for transmission and distribution projects in North Scotland, focusing on underground cabling and substations. The role supports delivery across multiple sites within a hybrid work arrangement.

The successful candidate will oversee project lifecycle, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence on high‑voltage infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience within the UK Transmission & Distribution sector.
• Experience with underground cable and civils packages.
• Background in civils or electrical disciplines is acceptable with relevant knowledge.
• Experience delivering projects for SSEN is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate across project teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Flexible working arrangement by location and start date.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple power infrastructure projects across the North of Scotland.
• Oversee delivery lifecycle from start to finish.
• Coordinate civils and underground cable packages within distribution projects.
• Manage programme, resources, and contractor delivery requirements.
• Lead project delivery across site teams while monitoring risks.
• Ensure safety and contractual compliance throughout the project.
