Job summary

Unum is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Dorking/Basingstoke to design, build and maintain scalable cloud platform infrastructure. You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines and security-focused practices across development teams, collaborating with Security, DevOps and Operations to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in platform engineering and DevOps.
• Strong cloud infrastructure management across major providers.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform) and automation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk controls in cloud
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

This role requires advanced expertise in cloud computing, automation, containerisation, scalability, and security, and focuses on creating a stable, scalable, and efficient environment for development teams.
