Job summary

Arm Limited is seeking an expert Engineer to join a team focused on engineering platform access and a secure, scalable Linux VDI environment. You will build, deploy, and improve infrastructure for VDI solutions, ensuring availability, security, and performance for global engineering teams.

The role requires strong Linux systems administration, DevOps, cloud (public/private), networking, monitoring, and support for operations. Hybrid working and emphasis on self-service automation are included.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux systems experience in large-scale, distributed environments.
• Experience with Linux VDI or remote visualization platforms (ETX, Citrix, etc.).
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash, Ansible.
• IaC and automated deployment using Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and REST APIs.
• Monitoring/observability with Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with HPC workload management tools and enterprise engineering access platforms.
• Understanding of production support, incident response, RCA, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support Linux VDI/remote visualization platforms (ETX, Citrix) and related protocols.
• Manage distributed Linux environments across on-prem, HPC, hybrid-cloud, or multi-cloud.
• Automate deployment and configuration management with IaC practices.
• Work with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack and secrets management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Lead post-incident reviews and root-cause analysis; reduce operational toil.
• Contribute to self-service workflows and scalable service operations.
