Job summary
CDM Recruitment Ltd – Engineering & Manufacturing Specialists is seeking an experienced Production Manager – Plastics to join an established manufacturing business in Cramlington. This senior role leads Production and Production Engineering across a multi-site operation, with a strong focus on injection moulding, tooling, quality, and continuous improvement.
You will couple deep plastics manufacturing knowledge with proven people leadership to drive safety, quality, cost and delivery
Qualifications
- Strong background in plastics and injection moulding.
- Experience with tooling, new mould sampling and validation.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement and manufacturing leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead Production and Production Engineering teams across multiple sites.
- Drive output, quality, cost and delivery performance.
- Lead continuous improvement in moulding operations.
- Support tooling projects and mould trials.
- Lead mould sampling and validation.
- Identify and resolve tooling and moulding issues.
- Improve cycle times and manufacturing capability.
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain high QHSE standards.
- Develop team capability and engagement.
- Collaborate with toolmakers and wider engineering teams.
