Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience in planning policy.
• Experience in Local Plan preparation within a local authority.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Local Plan Documents and Supplementary Planning Documents.
• Acting as an expert witness for the Council.
• Providing planning policy advice and guidance.

Skills

Strong understanding of planning legislation and Government policy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in data management and GIS systems

Education

Degree in Town Planning or related discipline

Eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
