Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment is seeking a Senior Planner (Development Management) in Hampshire. The role is a hybrid-position on a 3-month rolling contract, with a workload focusing on housing schemes and a mix of minor and householder applications.

The candidate will manage a varied caseload, assess housing proposals up to ~60 dwellings, and determine applications with minimal line management responsibilities. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recent Local Authority Development Management experience.
• Experience of rural planning issues.
• Knowledge of Nitrate Neutrality would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied Development Management caseload.
• Assessing housing applications, including outline, reserved matters and full applications (up to circa 60 dwellings).
• Determining minor and householder applications.
