A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support a major healthcare project at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will work with project teams to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and reporting. Responsibilities include developing project programmes using Primavera P6, monitoring schedules, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. This ongoing role requires independence and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Planner on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and healthcare sector experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and report variances.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
• Analyse critical paths and identify potential delays, providing mitigation strategies.
• Support project controls including cost and resource loading where required.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate data collection.
• Assist in risk analysis and scenario planning for programme impacts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and client reporting standards.
• Contribute to tender planning and bid support if needed.
• Responsible for creating detailed Primavera P6 programmes from scratch.
