Job summary

EDF Energy Limited is recruiting a Senior Planner for the Sizewell C project (Civil Works Alliance). You will develop and maintain detailed construction programmes for major civil works, enabling and earthworks activities.

Working with engineers, delivery teams and the supply chain, you will refine sequence, methodology, resources and production rates, interpret drawings, and report progress. You’ll present programme logic clearly to teams and stakeholders to drive delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to build construction programmes from drawings and specs.
• Present and communicate programme logic, sequencing and critical path to project teams.
• Experience planning major civil engineering projects.
• Strong Primavera P6, MS Project or ASTA planning skills.

What you'll be doing

• Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and scope documents to create realistic and achievable delivery programmes.
• Identifying critical path activities, programme risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitoring progress against plan, analysing performance and recommending recovery strategies where required.
• Producing clear reports, dashboards and programme updates for project teams and stakeholders.
• Communicating complex programme information in a way that enables informed decision-making and drives project delivery.

Qualifications

• A degree, HND or similar equivalent in a civil engineering or geotechnical subject - desirable
• Relevant CSCS Card

Experience

• The ability to build construction programmes from drawings, specifications and technical information
• The ability to present, explain and communicate programme logic, sequencing and critical path activities to project teams and stakeholders
• Experience planning major construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
• Strong Primavera P6, MS Project or ASTA planning skills
• A sound understanding of construction methodologies, labour, plant and resource requirements
• Experience undertaking critical path and risk analysis
