Job summary

MTR Partnership is seeking a Senior Planner to lead and own construction programmes across a West Yorkshire portfolio. You will collaborate with Project Managers and site teams to ensure timely delivery from tender to completion.

The role focuses on planning across commercial, industrial, education and public-sector projects, with exposure from pre-construction through to final handover. Asta Powerproject experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning or project management with a main contractor.
• Strong understanding of build programmes, sequencing and site operations.
• Experience using Asta Powerproject or similar planning software.

Responsibilities

Looking for a planning role where you can take ownership of programmes and play a key part in delivering construction projects across Yorkshire?

We're recruiting for an established main contractor looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join their West Yorkshire team.

The business delivers a varied workload across commercial, industrial, education and public-sector projects, with the opportunity to get involved from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role;

• Develop and manage construction programmes from tender through to completion
• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to plan project delivery
• Monitor progress, identify delays and recommend corrective action
• Review construction methods, sequencing and project logistics
• Support tender submissions and pre-construction planning
• Produce programme updates and reports for clients and senior management
• Identify programme risks and opportunities throughout the project

What We're Looking For;

• Experience in construction planning or project management with a main contractor
• Strong understanding of build programmes, sequencing and site operations
• Experience using Asta Powerproject or similar planning software
• Confident working with operational teams, subcontractors and clients
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Open to experienced Planners or Project Managers looking to step into a Senior Planner position
