Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a site-based Senior Planner for a circa £240m Defence Infrastructure Organisation project at Keogh Barracks, Aldershot. You'll lead integrated programme development through Pre-Construction and Construction/Handover phases, working with a southern planning team.

Responsibilities include producing integrated programmes, tender schedules, subcontractor liaison, forecasting scenarios and monthly client progress reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning within the main contractor environment.
• Ability to develop and monitor integrated programmes across design, commercial and construction.
• Familiarity with tender event schedules, site logistics and temporary works.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our Keogh Barracks team based in Aldershot.

Location: Keogh Barracks, Ash Vale, Aldershot
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're recruiting for a site-based Senior Planner to join our exciting circa £240m project for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation at Keogh Barracks in Aldershot. You'll work with our established project team throughout the Pre Construction Phase and Construction/Handover Phase through to Q3 2030. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on overall programme development and monitoring for a significant project spanning 17 new build and refurbishment assets with associated external and infrastructure works.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Planner, you'll be working within the Southern planning team, supporting them in delivering comprehensive programme management for this major infrastructure project. Your day to day will include:

• Producing fully integrated and resourced programmes incorporating all disciplines, including design, commercial, and construction elements
• Developing and monitoring tender event schedules, site logistics, and temporary work schedules
• Liaising with sub-contractors and reviewing their programmes for compliance with contract conditions
• Forecasting programme scenarios, developing mitigation strategies, and providing planning support to the project team
• Producing monthly client progress reports and driving collaborative planning forums

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Planner is great for you if:

• You have construction planning experience gained within the main contractor environment
• You have a solid history of working on build tenders and live projects between £5M - £100M+ in value
• You're an experienced user of Asta Powerproject software and Bluebeam (or similar)
• You have strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contract conditions and how this affects planning
• You hold valid CSCS accreditation and are willing to undertake HMG security clearance
