Job summary

NG Bailey in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Senior Planner to lead the planning function for a major MEP/building services project in Ipswich and Norwich. You will develop workable programmes, manage baseline schedules and regularly report progress.

The role requires extensive planning experience on large MEP projects, site exposure, Primavera proficiency, and a professional qualification. You will collaborate with project teams and clients to keep the programme aligned with contract

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in planning on medium to large MEP projects.
• Construction site experience required.
• Proficient in Primavera software.
• Relevant professional qualification or apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planning activities comply with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation governing business operations.
• Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings, engaging with stakeholders to develop and agree the plan.
• Participate within bid activities as required.
• Produce/agree contract baseline programme for each allocated project and update it with changes.
• Monitor progress against project plan and produce clear reports for stakeholders.
• Provide planning outputs for contract reviews and support operations to identify corrective actions.
• Perform time/risk analysis with planning manager/senior planner and project manager.

Senior Planner - (MEP/Building Services)

Ipswich/Norwich

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our team to work on a major project in Ipswich/Norwich.

The main purpose of the role is to drive the planning function on this project and produce workable realistic and efficient programmes of work which meet an appropriate standard for the contract conditions and both internal and client requirements. Monthly progress submissions, dashboard creating for reporting and weekly updates will be staple tasks in this role.

Key deliverables in this role are:

• Ensure that all planning related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation governing business operations
• Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to develop and agree the plan
• Participate within bid activities as required
• Work closely with relevant project personnel and external customer in order to produce/ agree a contract baseline programme for each allocated project
• Maintain and update contract baseline in line with any agreed contract changes, ensuring changes are communicated to all stakeholders
• Ensure that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce clear reports for all stakeholders
• Ensure that planning outputs/reports are produced for contract reviews. Support the operational teams in order to ascertain whether project targets are being achieved and jointly establish and agree any corrective measures where necessary.
• Perform time/risk analysis against programmes at regular intervals with the planning manager/senior planner, and the project manager.

Requirements

• Considerable experience in a planning role on medium to large MEP construction projects. We would be looking for someone with experience of MEP / Building Services projects.
