Job summary

Job description

On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Senior Planner (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (three days per week onsite - Aldermaston, Reading).

What if you could work on something that you can't test… but cannot afford to fail? Job Purpose:

The delivery of the complete planning capability within the business by maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Supporting the Task Manager with business rhythms, schedule integrity, network analysis, Earned Value and communications with the program and business teams.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

As a Senior Planner, your main responsibilities will be:

• Delivering Project Controls Planning and EVM expertise and analysis for projects, to produce accurate and timely schedule forecast information to enable business decision-making.
• Quality of EV variance analysis for schedule performance. (SPI)
• Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Planning processes and the production and maintenance of associated policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Supporting the delivery of Planning tools and EVMS, templates and training to internal customers.
• Reviewing project WBS and agreeing / recommending changes to the Project's Control Manager.
• Provision of Planning resource for peer reviews as appropriate.
• Maintaining & building schedules for Estates Management Projects
• Security Projects - replacing security systems through to facility works
• Re-kitting facilities & refurbishment of facilities
• Manage milestones
• Participate in planning workshops and attend Project Meetings

Essential:

• Experience in Primavera P6
• Understanding regulations
• Stakeholder engagement & management experience
