Job summary

Belcan in Reading, UK, seeks a Piping & Pipelines Lead to provide technical leadership across concept to detailed design and execution phases. The role focuses on delivering major projects within oil & gas, energy or petrochemical sectors.

You will lead the discipline, coordinate interfaces, mentor teams, ensure compliance with standards, and work across FEED, Pre-FEED and detailed design, with hybrid onsite/remote pattern.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical or related process industries.
• Experience across design phases: Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of discipline design standards and safety criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead the piping and pipelines discipline across major project activities.
• Provide technical direction during Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety criteria.
• Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Support business and project planning and engineering delivery.
• Manage discipline risks, queries and design reviews.
• Mentor engineers and designers within the discipline.
• Collaborate with subsurface and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
