Job description
Responsibilities

Join our dedicated and dynamic paediatric team at King's Mill Hospital, where we care for children aged 0-19 across a wide range of specialities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a small, supportive team that manages all ward admissions and referrals, including:

  • Medical, Surgical, Neurodisability, Orthopaedic, Respiratory, Rehabilitation, and Repatriation cases
  • Cystic Fibrosis admissions and Induced Sputum sampling
  • Complex discharge planning and HDU bed coverage for respiratory and rehabilitation needs

We also support Maternity and NICU for children born with:

  • Positional Talipes
  • Torticollis
  • Erb's Palsy
  • Other birthing injuries or packaging disorders

Our team runs a daily outpatient caseload for Positional Talipes and plays a key role in training and education, including:

  • Medical students and staff
  • Physiotherapy and OT university students
  • Work experience placements
  • On-call staff training and competency development
  • Annual Paediatric On-call updates

Applicants must be willing to participate in the on-call rota, which includes both adult and paediatric responsibilities.
