St Gemmas Hospice is seeking a Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering holistic care and supporting patients across the hospice. This exciting opportunity allows you to join a dynamic team and contribute to current service developments.

This post is suitable for an experienced Physiotherapist who already has experience in fields such as palliative care, respiratory, neurology, long‑term conditions or cancer‑related services. It offers an excellent role in a supportive team working across the In‑Patient Unit, Outpatients and Community. The post holder will work closely with the Physiotherapy team, the Occupational Therapy team and other MDT members. Weekends are one in every eight weeks with time off in lieu and pay, and we request each team member covers one bank holiday per year.

St Gemmas is an innovative and pioneering hospice, recently rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. We play a key role in influencing the future of palliative care in Leeds through the citywide Leeds Palliative Care Network. We are a leader in palliative‑care research, education and evidence‑based practice, and are the first University Teaching Hospice. We provide both in‑patient and community specialist palliative and end‑of‑life care.

St Gemmas Hospice is an independent Leeds‑based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK, providing expert care and support for local people with life‑limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients, families and carers in the hospice’s In‑Patient Unit through the St Gemmas community team and at our Out‑Patients.

We have around 300 employees working across the main hospice site in Moortown Retail Hub, Bramley, a large chain of charity shops, and in the community.
