Refuge in London is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Executive to lead a portfolio of major donors and trusts, delivering five-figure gifts to support our services for women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

In this hybrid role, you’ll manage relationships, develop compelling funding proposals and reports, identify new funding opportunities, and ensure supporters receive thoughtful communications that deepen their connection to Refuge’s life‑changing work.

Qualifications

• Proven fundraising experience in philanthropy or trusts and foundations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Experience managing donor relationships and proposals.

We are recruiting for a Senior Philanthropy Executive to join our team in London; the scope on this job involves….

Location: Hybrid working with the requirement to occasionally attend our Head Office (Vauxhall, London)

Salary: £37,674.00 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement)

Contract type: Full-time, Permanent

As Senior Philanthropy Executive, you'll manage a portfolio of major donors and trusts and foundations, securing 5 figure gifts that directly support our life-changing services. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of Refuge’s philanthropy strategy, managing relationships, developing compelling funding proposals and reports, identifying new funding opportunities, and ensuring supporters receive thoughtful, personalised communications that deepen their connection to Refuge’s work. We're looking for an experienced fundraiser that is comfortable building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and brings strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent stewardship.
