Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a Senior University Teacher in Pharmacy Practice and Experiential Learning Lead to join the MPharm team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will develop and deliver experiential learning content across the programme, working closely with the Head of Pharmacy Practice and curriculum colleagues.

Qualifications

• Registration as a UK Pharmacist.
• Experience of working with Pharmacy trainees (students or Foundation Pharmacists).
• Experience delivering education or training within a practice setting.
• Experience of good teamwork and collaboration.
• Experience of developing relationships with NHS, Higher Education or Business partners.
• Ability to develop creative problem-solving approaches.
• Experience working independently on project activities.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and IT skills.
• Current experience as a qualified Pharmacist in a patient-centered setting.
• Experience in UK Higher Education delivering Pharmacy Practice Education or Experiential Learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead on development and delivery of experiential learning within the MPharm programme.
• Work with stakeholders to support programme roles, provide training and feedback.
• Collaborate with Placements Team and Learning Technologists for an excellent student experience.
• Contribute to national Pharmacy experiential learning communities.
• Undertake scholarship activities in Pharmacy Education related to experiential learning.
• Design, deliver and assess teaching in Pharmacy Practice including supervision of portfolios.
• Engage in recruitment and outreach activities, potentially outside standard hours.
• Improve student experience and outcomes through informed programme delivery.
• Comply with QA processes and regulatory frameworks including GPhC.
• Provide line management where required and collaborate to foster university-wide values.
