This post is an exciting opportunity to evaluate the feasibility and utility of introducing Pharmacy Assistants to our Ward Pharmacy clinical service.
The aim of the role is to promote safe and timely discharge of patients through introducing and monitoring one stop dispensing practices, as well as reducing medicines waste through cancelling inappropriate medication orders and ensuring patient's own drugs (PODs) remain with the patient throughout their hospital journey.
This role will involve working closely with a Ward Pharmacist and Technician to help achieve these aims and strong teamworking skills will be key to becoming a successful applicant to this position.
