A leading healthcare organization in the UK seeks a Senior Pharmacist to manage vaccination services and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with medical teams to ensure service safety and effectiveness. Responsibilities include leading vaccination campaigns, supporting staff training, and participating in clinical services, requiring strong leadership and communication skills. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills to join our dynamic pharmacy team in supporting the delivery of a safe and effective vaccination service, in particular COVID‑19 and Influenza. They will be responsible for pharmaceutical, clinical and governance aspects including the safe handling of vaccinations across all services. They will work closely with the nursing, medical and operational managers within NELFT.
The post holder will work with the NELFT infection prevention and control team, integrated care boards and local consultant microbiologists to develop, implement and monitor the antimicrobial stewardship programme across the Trust.
The post holder will also be involved in the delivery of a clinical pharmacy service to inpatient rehabilitation wards across the Trust and contribute to the development of junior and trainee staff.
Due to the wide geographical spread of our services the post holder is expected to travel and work across the Trust and participate in‑call and weekend working duties.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months.
