Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacist in Anaesthesia, Perioperative, Pain Medicine and ICCU. This Band 8a post is permanent, based at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, and requires weekend and bank holiday rota coverage as part of the Critical Care Pharmacy team.

The role includes leadership of a 7-day critical care pharmacy service, opportunities for independent prescribing training, and support for professional development within a large NHS trust.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in pharmacy, GPhC registration and relevant clinical experience.
• Experience in critical care pharmacy and ability to supervise staff.
• Postgraduate Clinical Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and directorate support to Anaesthesia, Perioperative, Pain Medicine and ICCU group.
• Participate in the 7-day clinical pharmacy service to the critical care unit.
• Lead education and training for junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
