Job summary

Workforce Staffing is looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join a growing tax team in Bromsgrove. You will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, deliver compliant returns and proactive advisory support within a collaborative, client-focused firm.

You'll work with experienced professionals, mentor juniors, and progress toward management, with ATT/CTA study support, flexible options and a strong work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in a personal tax position.
• Experience working with Owner Managed Businesses.
• ATT qualified and CTA qualified, or currently studying towards CTA.
• Strong technical knowledge of taxation and practical application.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
• Proactive, organised and commercially minded; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Building trusted relationships with clients and providing proactive tax advisory with clear communication.
• Preparing complex Self-Assessment tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identifying planning opportunities and supporting tax advisory projects.
• Liaising with Accounts and Payroll to provide a seamless client experience.
• Mentoring and reviewing work of junior team members.
• Balancing workload and meeting multiple deadlines while keeping up to date with UK tax legislation.
