Job summary

Independent Lives in Hassocks is seeking reliable and adaptable people to provide practical, psychological, communication and community support for a client with severe ME/CFS and related conditions. Roles may include face-to-face or remote elements, depending on the assignment.

The team will assist with daily living tasks, accompany to appointments, help access community activities, and ensure safety and well-being while managing energy limits.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable with good timekeeping.
• Able to follow instructions and work on own initiative.
• Strong English reading and communication skills.
• Experience with complex care needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support as required.
• Assist with daily living activities (cooking, shopping, housekeeping).
• Administer medication prompting as needed.
• Support client to access the community and appointments.
• Liaise with family and medical staff as directed.
