The post is an 11-month fixed-term senior clinician role in the perinatal mental health service covering Pennine Lancashire, offering autonomous caseload management within a multidisciplinary team. You will carry out specialist assessments, coordinate complex care for mothers and infants, supervise students and contribute to regional service development.

Registration as RMN, social worker or occupational therapist is required, with post-graduate community MH experience and skills in care

Qualifications

• Professional qualification as an RMN, social worker or occupational therapist.
• Post-graduate experience in a community mental health setting.
• Experience of care co-ordination and supervision.
• Ability to work autonomously within professional codes (NMC/HCPC/Regulation).

Responsabilités

• Carry out specialist assessments of women referred into the perinatal service.
• Act as Care Co-ordinator under the Care Programme Approach, managing complex packages of care for mother and infant.
• Act as an autonomous senior clinician with a defined caseload.
• Work within a multidisciplinary community mental health team delivering perinatal care.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining a region-wide perinatal service through liaison with organisations.
• Support and supervise staff and students in perinatal mental health.
