Senior SSAS Client Manager

Location : Manchester, M14

Department : SSAS (Small Self-Administered Pension Schemes)

About the Role

Clearcut Accounting is seeking an experienced Senior SSAS Client Manager to join our specialist pensions team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with hands‑on SSAS experience who can confidently manage a portfolio of pension scheme clients and deliver a high‑quality, compliant service.

If you have a strong understanding of SSAS administration including record‑keeping, AFT returns, event reporting, bank reconciliations, handling investment requests, property transactions and member benefits, we would welcome your application. Experience in a client‑facing capacity is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of SSAS clients, ensuring full compliance with HMRC and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out day‑to‑day SSAS administration including record‑keeping, preparing and submitting AFT returns, completing event reporting and HMRC updates, bank reconciliation and transactional record management, handling investment instructions, property transactions and member benefit requests.
  • Provide technical support to internal colleagues as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, introducers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience working with SSAS administration.
  • Broad knowledge of SSAS regulatory requirements, HMRC reporting and pension scheme processes.
  • Experience dealing directly with clients in an administrative or advisory capacity.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational ability and communication skills.
  • Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information.
