Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Senior Penetration Tester to join our growing cyber security team. You will deliver hands-on testing across infrastructure, networks, web apps and cloud environments, including Azure, AWS and containerised technologies.

You will communicate findings clearly to clients, mentor junior testers and help shape our testing methodologies while keeping up to date with emerging threats and industry developments. This role is remote with UK-focused client work.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience in penetration testing / offensive security.
• Strong hands-on experience across infrastructure and/or application penetration testing.
• Experience working with cloud environments, particularly Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, APIs and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of current attack techniques, vulnerabilities and defensive controls.
• Excellent report writing and client-facing communication skills.
• Current UK Security Clearance (SC)

Responsibilities

• Deliver manual penetration testing and security assessments across infrastructure, networks, operating systems, web applications and APIs.
• Conduct security testing across Azure, AWS and other cloud environments.
• Assess Kubernetes, Docker, IAM and CI/CD environments.
• Perform internal and external infrastructure penetration tests; identify, exploit and document vulnerabilities.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Work closely with clients to understand environments and communicate risks.
• Contribute to security architecture and security control reviews.
• Mentor junior consultants with guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on vulnerabilities and industry developments.
• Contribute to evolving testing methodologies, tooling and service offerings.
