Job summary

Pico Technology is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer to drive in-house PCB layouts for New Product Development and support the hardware team across existing ranges. You will lead from schematic capture to fabrication, ensuring IPC standards, DFM, DFA and DFT compliance while delivering high-quality, reliable, cost-effective multi-layer designs using Cadence Allegro.

Reporting to the Head of Product Realisation, you’ll guide junior engineers, uphold Health and Safety and ISO procedures, and

Qualifications

• HND, HNC or higher in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven multi-layer high-speed mixed-signal PCB design experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB layout for complex, high-density boards using Cadence Allegro.
• Route sensitive analogue front-end circuits with strict isolation from digital noise.
• Ensure DFM/DFA/DFT requirements and collaborate with manufacturers.
• Develop robust footprints and 3D models; guide junior engineers.
