Job summary

Kamsons Pharmacy, headlined at Uckfield in East Sussex, seeks a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Head Office payroll team. This office-based role with 30 hours weekly starts with fixed hours and offers hybrid flexibility after a six-month probation, subject to business needs.

You will support end-to-end payroll processing, ensure data accuracy, and collaborate with HR and managers to handle salary queries and entitlements with discretion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll administration.
• Confident working with payroll systems (Sage 50 Payroll + Sage HR advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise to meet deadlines.
• Strong data entry and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Previous HR-related payroll experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing using Sage 50 Payroll and Sage HR.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of payroll records.
• Handle accounts payable activities related to payroll.
• Liaise with pharmacy managers and employees, responding to salary, absence, and entitlements queries.
• Work closely with HR teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies and potential improvements.
• Support implementation and ongoing use of payroll systems, including Sage HR.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and security of employee data.
• Assist with ad hoc payroll and HR projects as required.
