Job summary

Live Nation is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Payroll Administrator to manage UK payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with HMRC rules. You will collate changes, run validations, and generate payroll reports for internal teams and external partners.

You will act as the main contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, maintain confidentiality, and support new processes in a fast-paced Finance environment at our Farringdon office in London.

Qualifications

  • Proven payroll knowledge and an in-depth understanding of HMRC legislation
  • Payroll Technician Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis
  • Proficient with Word and Outlook
  • Experience with Zellis payroll software

Responsibilities

  • Process UK payroll runs end-to-end in line with current legislation, policies and deadlines
  • Collate change data, input sheets, and perform peer checks
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to the business and third parties as required
  • Maintain key controls and file payroll documentation at close of each run
  • Be the first point of contact for payroll and benefits queries and resolve escalations

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll administration, strong knowledge of payroll legislation, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. We hold regular staff events in our atrium stage space including hosting speakers and open mic nights to showcase Live Nation employee talent.**Who you are****Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience*** Proven payroll knowledge and an in-depth understanding of relevant HMRC legislation* Payroll Technician Certificate qualification (or equivalent)* Advanced user of Excel application* Confident user of Word and Outlook* Experience in and knowledge of Payroll software e.g. Zellis* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to work independently or as a member of a team**Behaviours**The following attributes determine how the role will be carried out and are required to be a success* Invested in promoting a customer care/service-based approach and operate with discretion* The ability to be pro-active, flexible, and adaptable while problem solving when required* Open minded with a positive attitude* Ability to prioritise, manage time and work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment* Strong team player in an environment of professionals**What the role includes** * Responsibility for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time in line with agreed deadlines.* To process UK payroll runs from beginning to end in accordance with current legislation, policies and processes, and timelines, while ensuring that an appropriately authorised person approves all payroll transactions* Collate change data, completing input sheets, and making sure peer checks are carried out* Ensure that all payroll-related information, including increases and deductions are calculated, recorded and processed accurately and promptly in accordance with the relevant legislation/guidelines* Ensure that payroll reports are created and distributed to the business and third parties as necessary* Ensure all key controls are adhered to as specified in the Payroll Process Guide, and ensure all supporting payroll documentation is correctly filed at close of each payroll run* Report errors to the Payroll Manager and correct promptly* Be first point of contact for all employee pay and benefit queries and investigate, resolve or escalate the matters as required in a timely manner.* Maintain confidentiality and make sure sensitive files are protected appropriately* Make ad-hoc payroll payments as required,* Respond professionally to queries from HR Business Partners and staff at all levels, communicating clearly and effectively, and providing high-quality advice on payroll-related matters* Inform others of the payroll cut-off dates and ensure payroll deadlines are met* Maintain up to date knowledge of Payroll legislation and internal policies* Prepare and submit PAYE, NI, and other statutory deductions, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations* Support the Payroll Manager with regular audit checks and collating data for any internal or external check **Equal Opportunities**We are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
