The purpose of this role is to lead the development, maintenance, and innovation of Visa’s global infrastructure for EMV-based technologies and emerging payment products. As a recognised industry expert, the role demands deep technical knowledge of chip-based technologies—including EMV, contactless (NFC), mobile, biometrics, wearables, and other digital payment innovations. The successful candidate will provide strategic consultancy and subject matter expertise to a wide range of stakeholders, including banks, vendors, regulators, central banks, and internal teams.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring infrastructure quality, compliance, and seamless implementation of both existing and next-generation technologies and services. With a strong commercial focus, the role also supports Visa’s strategic objectives by driving client self-service, training, and the adoption of Visa’s services. A comprehensive understanding of chip tools, payment systems, vendor ecosystems, and the global regulatory landscape is essential. The role positions Visa as a thought leader and trusted partner in the evolving payments ecosystem through global collaboration and technical leadership.
