Job summary

A local authority in the UK is seeking a Senior Engineer - Parking Design to deliver a range of parking-related projects. The role involves project management, design implementation, and liaising with multiple stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have expertise in parking design and relevant legislation. This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring site/office attendance several days a week.

Qualifications

• High level of knowledge of relevant legislation and policy frameworks for Kerbside Infrastructure.
• Experience of undertaking engagement and consultations and report writing.
• Experience in delivering parking design, Controlled Parking Zones, Waiting and Loading Restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Develop an evidence base for proposed schemes and appropriate outcome set.
• Project manage works funded by other Council teams and external developers.
• Monitor, evaluate and challenge the work and invoices of consultants or contractors.

Skills

Knowledge of legislation and policy frameworks for Kerbside Infrastructure

Experience in delivering parking design

Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, KeySIGNS, KeyPOST)

Experience of undertaking engagement and consultations
