Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical and paraplanning support to Financial Planners.
• Manage and support complex financial planning cases.
• Gather, analyse and interpret detailed client information.
• Research investments, pensions and other financial products.
• Prepare accurate, compliant suitability reports and recommendations.
• Draft detailed financial planning recommendations aligned with client objectives.
• Prepare meeting packs and supporting documentation.
• Model different financial planning scenarios and outcomes.
• Update financial plans following client reviews and changes in circumstances.
• Maintain accurate client records and CRM information.
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with Financial Advisers and client service teams.
• Provide technical input and support throughout the advice process.
• Manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Identify and contribute to improvements in processes and systems.
• Ensure financial advice is presented clearly and in a client-friendly manner.
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy and professional conduct.

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a professional Financial Planning and Wealth Management team based in Ipswich.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality technical support to Financial Planners, taking responsibility for complex financial planning cases and helping to deliver clear, tailored and compliant advice to clients.

You will be involved in gathering and analysing client information, researching financial products and investments, preparing detailed suitability reports and recommendations, and supporting Advisers throughout the financial planning process.

This is a varied senior-level role within a client-focused environment, offering the opportunity to work closely with Financial Advisers and contribute to the development and improvement of financial planning processes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a Senior Paraplanner or experienced Paraplanner within an IFA, Financial Planning or Wealth Management environment.

You will have:

• Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and wealth management


• Extensive Paraplanning experience


• Experience supporting Financial Advisers or Financial Planners with complex cases


• Strong research and analytical skills


• Excellent suitability report and technical report-writing experience


• Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and financial planning solutions


• Ability to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy


• Strong organisation and time management skills


• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Strong knowledge of UK financial services and regulatory requirements


• Experience using financial planning software, CRM systems and Microsoft Office


• A professional, ethical and client-focused approach

Qualifications

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent


• Additional financial planning qualifications would be advantageous


• Good understanding of UK financial services regulations
