Job description

The Senior Paralegal plays a pivotal role in the smooth, efficient, and consistent delivery of legal support across our Private Client Team. Acting as the operational lead, this role combines hands‑on legal work with team leadership, ensuring that fee earners receive high‑quality, timely, and reliable support.

You will oversee the day‑to‑day workflow of the Paralegals and Legal Administrators, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management to ensure the team is engaged, well‑supported, and consistently delivering to a high standard. As the Team Leader, you will be the central point of contact for escalations, queries, and the coordination of work across the department, helping to drive best practice and continuous improvement in the way we operate.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Paralegal looking to step into a senior role.

Please note: This role requires you to be in the office full‑time during the probation period.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Paralegals and Legal Administrators, supporting their professional growth and ensuring appropriate levels of performance.
  • Allocate and supervise work, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings and performance reviews in line with the Group framework.
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations and queries within the Operations team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and service delivery.
  • Support in preparation and drafting of legal documents.
  • Attend client meetings with the Solicitor, taking meetings and noting relevant actions.
  • Liaise with clients to provide support for any questions they may have or to follow up on any outstanding matters.
  • Produce written correspondence to clients and third parties.
  • Proofreading of legal documentation to ensure these are produced to a high standard.
  • Assist in the preparation of case files, bundles and court documents where required.
  • Reviewing documentation upon receipt for correct execution.
  • Deal with any registration requirements.
  • Conduct legal research and summarise findings.
  • Support with the onboarding of clients, both internal and external.
  • Maintain, update and support the development of our case management system.
  • Ensure support of OLA/SLA targets throughout the workflow process.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident in liaising with clients directly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex workloads while leading a team effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be proactive.
  • Educated to degree level or a relevant qualification
  • Experience in supporting Private Client and/or Real Estate legal services
  • Familiarity with legal case management systems.
