The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the paper sector, a strong network within the industry, and exceptional negotiation skills. This role includes managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and driving cost-saving initiatives. Candidates should be commercially focused and have a proven track record in high volume purchasing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the paper sector from a buying/purchasing perspective.
• Strong understanding of paper converting/manufacturing products from paper.
• Experience of high volume European and global purchasing including from SE Asia.
• A strong network within the paper sector including mills and suppliers.
• Demonstrable achievements in delivering cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for all paper.
• Negotiate competitive terms and drive cost saving initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers in the paper sector.
• Ensure compliance with waste legislation and relevant standards.
